Summer School is in full swing and students like Donnell are enjoying the benefits! “The Covid situation had me playing catch up and teachers are taking time out of their lives to help us with our school work in the summer.” District 186 has close to 630 students enrolled in our high school summer program this year. The goal is to help students get back on track or ahead of schedule before the school year starts in late August.

Wrap up from our students who visited France! 🇫🇷 Their last day in France was a long one. The group started in the city of Rouen, where Joan of Arc was executed. Then they trekked back to Paris to visit Montmartre and the Sacre Coeur Basilica. They finished their day with a sunset cruise along the Seine River. Finally, they made it to the airport to head back home!

Mrs. Stubblefield’s AP Psych class has been studying the importance of understanding mental health. Students worked on different projects to promote a positive school culture. For their project, some students sat in the Commons and had students sign a poster of positive messages and handed out treats. Another group of students put positive messages on lockers for students.
