SE Spartan Announcements

Good Morning, Southeast students and staff. It's Monday, September 15th, 2025! I’m _____________.

Remember that successful Spartans ARE RESPECTFUL, they follow classroom and school-wide expectations, allow for learning throughout the building, and can think critically.

And now for a moment of silence to start our day…Thank you.

Hey Spartans, if you are ever absent or just want to go back to see announcements because something really cool caught your attention.

Go to the Southeast webpage, scroll down and you will see the current announcements. If you want to see older announcements, click on SEE ALL POSTS.

From there you can click on any date, and either view the video, or quickly read through the printed copy to find practice times, club announcements, or just general information.

If you attend CACC, you must be on the bus no later than 8:15.  The buses need to be leaving Southeast much earlier than they have been because instructional time is being lost.  If you have been taking your time getting to the CACC buses on Ash Street, you need to adjust your morning to make sure you are getting outside earlier!

If you arrive to school late and get a green slip or a late bus pass, you are able to get breakfast but it is ‘grab and go.’  Please get your food and quickly make your way to first hour!

Seniors- Jostens returns for orders on September 17 during lunch and September 18 before school.  Both of these ordering times will take place in the Commons. (Run T &Th)

Any senior who would like to take the ASVAB test, can come to the guidance office and sign up with Mrs. Metz or Ms. Keri.  The test will be held at the end of October.

Seniors-

If you got an early graduation contract from Mrs. Metz, they are due back to Guidance by September 18.  You must have a contract on file with Mrs. Metz by this date if you intend to graduate in December.

Spartans—it’s hard to believe but Homecoming will be here before you know it.  Get that dress and get that date.  The homecoming dance is Saturday, September 27 from 7-9 here at Southeast High School.  Tickets are $10.  They will be on sale the week of September 22.  They will  be $15 at the door.

If you are bringing a date that does NOT attend Southeast,  you MUST fill out a date request form.  These can be found in the main office and are due back by Wednesday, September 24.  Any questions, please see Mrs. Barcik in Room 103.

Check your canvas dashboard announcements because voting for homecoming spirit week days will be open until 3:17 on Monday.  Let us know what days you want to see for Homecoming!

Attention all seniors!! Just a reminder that you have to get the meningitis A vaccine by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get that shot. Then let the nurse know you got it.

Attention all 9th graders!! Just a reminder that you have to bring a current physical to the nurse by October 1 to remain in school after that date. Please make an appointment to get your physical and bring that physical to the nurse as soon as possible.

Clubs/Opportunities

Sports

There are basketball pre-season and conditioning schedules in the main office.

Remember to Check the Southeast Athletics webpage for the full sports calendar.

Awards/Celebrations

Coach Hamilton, our boys basketball coach, and Senator Doris Turner have teamed up to promote non violence in schools. Many things will be offered from this grant money, but one thing everyone enjoyed last year and could participate in was Gift Card Giveaway Friday. All you have to do is be referral free, that includes cell phone, headphones, and dress code referrals. There is a little bit of a difference this year, instead of being referral free for the WHOLE year, Coach Hamilton wants students to reflect on their referrals, make necessary changes, and get another chance at a gift card. So each month is a fresh start. How do you know if you win? Watch Friday morning announcements. The wheel will spin and name 3 big winners of $50 gift cards to be claimed in the student office. So check those Friday morning announcements and stay referral free each month!
